These were made for the Contemporary Quilt challenge.
Contemporary Quilt is a subgroup of the Quilters' Guild
of the British Isles. Each month we have to make a piece.
This year no theme. Just to make individual pieces any
size or shape but they have to be able to be joined
to make a whole piece at the end of the year. I found
an old piece I had never exhibited and slowly undid
all the free machine work until I was just left with
a sandwich. I made individual shapes, the leaves have
wire in the centre vein so can be formed into interesting
shape if required.
